Michael Jackson

This year Abbey and Savanna's dance recital is Themed around the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, etc. I was watching the girls while they were practicing and my mind went back to when I was in the 6th grade. Michael Jackson was the newest and hottest thing. I remember my friend had a silver shiny glove she wore to school. I remember thinking how fancy she was. My mom and dad did not listen to music like that so when I would go to school and listen to everyone talking about Michael Jackson I was so intrigued. Savanna's lyrical dance is to the song
"Heal the World". I loved this song. It still makes me feel good inside. I want to heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race. (I just wish I could help my family more and take away some of the burdens they are feeling at this time.) I love to watch Abbey and Savanna dance. They seem to float in the air. They are so graceful. I am clumsy and awkward. They have such beautiful talents. I really enjoy them sharing their talents with me.
There is a part of me that wants to sing and dance right along with them. But I will save them the embarrassment and just enjoy the sidelines for now.
