This is Tony at the summit of Table Rock! He left the parking lot in snow shoes, elevation 6500 ft, and climbed to the summit of Table Rock, elevation 11,101 ft. It took him and Dr. Lee about 5 1/2 hrs to get to the top. (In the background is Mt. Owen, Grand Teton, and Middle Teton L to R) They had some bad luck on the way back down. Tony's snow shoes both broke about 1/2 mile from the top. Good thing for long shoe laces and athletic tape! Take a look at the pictures.

Shoe laces in place of metal. Hmmm, hope it works.

It took them all day and this is the view back up from the car at the end of the day. (The top of Table Rock looks like a pancake is sitting on it)
That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so beautiful! What a climb though. I wish I had the energy and the will to do things like that. I don't like snow though. Way to go Tony!
ReplyDeleteI love those mountains! Glad Tony made it back down safely. Guardian angels are on the job!
